Addressing the press, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the party was publishing a list of candidates for 57 out of 58 seats in the first phase and 48 out of 55 in the second phase and announced that Yogi Adityanath would contest from Gorakhpur constituency. .
“Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will contest from Gorakhpur constituency. Deputy Chief Minister Keshab Prasad Maurya will contest from Sirathu Assembly constituency,” he said.
“Sincere thanks to Hon’ble Prime Minister arenarendramodi, Hon’ble National President @JPNadda and Parliamentary Board for nominating me as Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Gorakhpur (city) in the forthcoming Assembly elections,” Yogi tweeted in Hindi.
