The board proposes to conduct a Class 12 board exam in the second week of July if the situation in Kovid comes under control.
The duration of class 12 examination has been reduced from the usual three hours 15 minutes to one and a half hours.
Now only three questions will be asked in a paper.
During this period, students of classes 6,7,8,9 and 11 will be promoted without any examination.
The UP Board’s Class 10 and 12 examinations, which were scheduled to be held from May 8, were postponed in April due to a second wave of coronaviruses.
This year, around 56 lakh candidates have registered for the class 10 and 12 UP board examination.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) have canceled the exams for class 10 while the exams of class 12 have been postponed.
Along with the board, several competitive examinations including NEET, JEE Main, UGC NET, UPSC Civil Services have also been postponed.
The Union Education Ministry on Monday directed to postpone all offline examinations to be held in May 2021 due to the rapid increase in Kovid 19 cases. This decision will be applicable to all central higher educational institutions across the country.
Although the online examination may continue.
