The College of Health Sciences will reopen soon; Announcement of Examination Schedule for Diploma and Degree Colleges – Times of India

BENGALURU: The state government has decided to introduce colleges in phases as soon as the second wave ebbs. The government said in a statement on July 1 that all educational institutions related to the health and medical sectors – medical, dental, AYUSH, nursing and other emergency healthcare colleges – would be effective immediately.

However, only students, teaching and non-teaching staff who have received a single dose of the Covid-19 vaccine will be allowed to enter colleges. Colleges must ensure the proper conduct of Covid and strict adherence to SOPs.

According to the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi Health Sciences (RGUHS), an umbrella university of health science-providing colleges, most students have already received the vaccine. “Because of being in the healthcare profession, all students and staff were on the priority list. Most colleges have more than 90% of their students vaccinated. The vast majority have even received their second dose, ”said Dr Jayakar Sethi. RGUHS has about 950 accredited colleges and among them three lakh students are studying. At present various courses including Ayurveda and PG Dental are being tested.


The notification, signed by N Manjunath Prasad, Member Secretary, State Executive Committee, said that any violation of the provisions of Section 51-60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 and Section 16 of the IPC would be effective.

After discussions with the Chief Minister, a decision will be taken to reopen other colleges in the next few days, said Higher Education Minister CN Ashwat Narayan. Of the 5% of students studying in government and government aided institutions, they have been vaccinated. “Considering that there are many students from other states and other districts, the current progress is satisfactory. A decision on resumption of regular degree classes will be taken in 3-4 days after consultation with the Chief Minister, ”he said.

The minister also announced the examination schedule for diploma and degree courses on Friday.

For Diploma, Odd Semester (1/3/5) Practical Examination will be held on 26-26 July and Theory Examination for the rest of other semesters will be held from 21st August to 21st August. .

Even the experimental examinations of the semester (2/4/6) will run from 2nd to 12th November and the theory examination of the same semester will be held from 1st November to 1st December.


Degree course examinations for odd semesters (which were fully under consideration at the entire Gulbarga, Karnataka and Bangalore universities and some other universities have some subjects left) are due to end by August 15, even for the semester in September. , For which dates will be announced shortly.
