The university has launched its admission process for 15 full-time diploma courses in fashion design, tool and die making, architecture, mechanical engineering, aesthetics and beauty therapy, facilities and hygiene management.

The admission process for the first academic year of the university will be closed on Tuesday. DSEU Registrar Ashwini Kansal said, “Admission to the diploma course will be based on merit through a general entrance test scheduled for August 2. For admission to its 11 flagship degree programs, the university will offer admission. The basis of the merit list.”
He said the merit list would be based on three components – percentage in Class XII, extra-curricular activities (ECA) and low weight for students taking vocational subjects at school level, as it is a skilled university.
The Common Entrance Test will be a bilingual test divided into several sections.
“In compliance with the rules, the university has published guidelines for general entrance examination policy for the Department of Persons with Disabilities (PWD),” Kansal said.
DSEU Vice-Chancellor Professor Neharika Vohra said the merit list for diploma courses will be released in the first week of September this year and the merit list for admission to degree courses is expected to be released by the end of August.
“Candidates will meet their preference for diploma and degree courses from September 4 to September 7,” he added.
The university is offering six B.Tech programs such as Mechanical and Automation Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Tool Engineering etc.
“These six courses will be admitted through Joint Admission Counseling (JAC) Delhi on the basis of merit in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE),” he said.
Among the degree courses offered, the university is offering Masters of Computer Application (MCA), for which admission will be based on merit list based on NIMCET 2021 score, and merit for MTech Tool Engineering will be based on gate score, he added.
DSEU last month extended the registration deadline for its program to August 17 in the wake of delays in Class X and XII results.
