Nandamuri Taraka Ratna passes away: Taraka Ratna’s health condition was critical today, as previously reported, and he died shortly before in Bengaluru’s Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital. He had been in bed for the past 23 days after suffering a massive heart attack on January 27th and fainting unexpectedly at a roadshow in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. The ‘Yuva Galam’ Roadshow was a political foot march organized by his cousin Nara Lokesh for their Telugu Desam Party.
Soon after fainting on January 27th, he received PCR and other primary first aid at the venue before being transported to the nearby hospital (PES) at Kuppam. It was reported that his heart stopped working for some time before he was taken to the hospital in Kuppam and recovered a few minutes later. The same night around 2:00 AM, he was taken to the Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital in Bengaluru, as the hospital specializes in cardiology.
Since then, he has been treated in the hospital mentioned above for approximately 23 days, and a few days ago, the hospital’s management brought in a few cardiology specialists from the US for additional support and services, who are said to have treated him with Balloon Angioplasty, Intra Aortic Balloon Pump, and vasoactive support for a few days before his final breath.
Nandamuri Taraka Ratna leaves behind a wife, Alekhya Reddy, and a daughter. Taraka’s father, Nandamuri Mohan Krishna, is a well-known Tollywood cinematographer, and he is the grandson of veteran Telugu actor and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister NT Rama Rao, as well as the nephew of Tollywood superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna. Taraka Ratna has a strong bond with his uncle Nandamuri Balakrishna, which has been widely publicized, and Balakrishna was also a strong supporter of his marriage. Balakrishna has been in Bengaluru since the aforementioned incident, looking after Taraka Ratna….!
His cousins are Telugu actors JrNTR and Kalyan Ram. Taraka Ratna made his film acting debut in the 2002 romance film ‘Okato Number Kurraadu,’ directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, and has since played the lead roles in several other films. He was last seen on screen in ‘Saradhi’ and ‘S5 NO Exit’ last year. He also made his OTT debut in ‘9 Hours,’ a web series.

Taraka Ratna received the ‘Best Villain state Nandi award’ for his performance in the 2009 film ‘Amaravathi.
All of his family members arrived at the Bangalore hospital this evening, and several Tollywood celebrities began to express their condolences as he died on the auspicious Maha Shivaratri day.
