Tamil actor and director Manobala passed away on Wednesday after a brief illness at the age of 69.

He was 69 and had been undergoing treatment for liver-related ailments at his Chennai residence, where he breathed his last. Prior to that, he had been admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai but was later moved to his home in Saligramam. Despite receiving medical attention for 15 days, he stopped responding to treatment and passed away this afternoon.
