Swami Vivekananda’s ideals need to be inculcated in today’s youth: CJI Ramana – Times of India

HYDERABAD: Swami Vivekananda firmly believed that the essence of religion is common good and tolerance and through this policy, his dream of rebuilding India must be awakened in today’s youth, said Chief Justice of India NV Ramana on Sunday.

Speaking at a function marking the 22nd founding day of the Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence in Hyderabad and the 12th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chic historic address, Justice Ramana said: The reason is that he has analyzed the dangers posed to the nation and civilization. In contemporary India today, there is a need to pay more attention to the words of Swami Vivekananda in early 1893. ”

Swami Vivekananda’s speech at the World “Parliament of Religions” in Chicago in 1893 drew the world’s attention to ancient Indian Vedanta philosophy. He popularized practical Vedanta because it promoted love, compassion and equal respect for all, CJI said, adding that his teachings were relevant for all time. “He was prophetic. Long before the painful upheaval that took place in the subcontinent during the freedom struggle that led to the enactment of the communist constitution of India, he favored secularism as if he had predicted the disclosure of events.” He firmly believed that the essence of true religion was general goodness and tolerance. Religion must be above prejudice and inflexibility. To fulfill the dream of building a revived India through the principle of common welfare and tolerance, we should inculcate Swamiji’s ideals in today’s youth, “said Justice Ramna.

Swami Vivekananda believed that the youth of India are the chain that binds our past to the greater future. He believed that anything was possible if someone had the necessary faith, he said.

It is essential that the youth be aware of the social realities and challenges, CJI said, “Remember, any change in the course of a nation is always due to its youth and their participation. It is for you to build the ideal nation and society that you want to witness.”

“The democratic rights we embrace today are the result of the struggle of thousands of young people who took to the streets against authoritarian figures in the dark days of the freedom struggle or the state of emergency. All for the greater good of the nation and society,” Justice Ramna said.

He further said that trust the youth to check the deviation in the journey of the society towards peace and progress.

“While it is desirable to be independent and economically successful, at the same time we must not forget our duties towards our family, our community and our nation,” he said.

“Young people often perceive every action with a clear principle তারা they do not tolerate injustice to themselves or to others. They do not compromise with their ideals which they can. They are not only self-interested, but also adventurous. It is this impure mind and pure heart that forms the backbone of our nation, “said the Chief Justice.

Justice Ramana further said that today resources are available at one’s fingertips and there is unlimited access to the world of information. “These facilities bring a heavy burden. Students are more socially and politically aware with the ease of information flow that modern society allows for hyper-awareness.”

Justice Ramna advised the youth to pay attention to their health and engage in physical activities and sports.

“Go to the slums to be aware of the divisions that exist even in urban areas, go to the villages to be aware of the rural way of life. Change in society. You need to be aware that your actions are part of the process of nation building. ”

He called on more educational institutions to educate students about rights and restrictions and create awareness.

They should promote and propagate a culture of legitimacy and respect for the law. The organization should equip the minds of the youth with knowledge about their rights and duties and empower them to bring about change in the society, Justice Ramna added.
