An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead inside a department store bathroom in South Carolina and somehow remained unidentified for four days.
An employee at the Belk in the Columbiana Center shopping mall found 63-year-old Bessie Durham dead inside the store’s family bathroom just after 8 p.m. Monday, according to Fox 57 in Columbia.
Durham worked for an outside company that provided housekeeping and cleaning services to department stores.
The store’s surveillance cameras allegedly showed the woman entering the bathroom area Thursday, four days before her body was discovered, at approximately 7 a.m. She was never seen leaving the area.

A coroner’s report obtained by Fox 57 on Thursday showed Durham died of natural causes.
