Aryan Khan, the 23-year-old son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, is one of eight people questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after a party raid on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast last night. Statement
Of the eight people questioned, two were women.
The eight are: Moonmoon Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismit Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Bikrant Chhokar, Gomit Chopra, Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant.
“Eight people, including Aryan Khan, are being questioned. Further action will be taken based on their statements,” the anti-drug agency said.
The NCB team boarded the ship in disguise of passengers on the basis of a tip.
Ecstasy, cocaine, MD (mephedrone) and chara were recovered from the party on board, the Anti-Drugs Agency said.
According to officials, the party started after the ship left Mumbai and went to sea.
“Their statements are being recorded. Arrests will be made on the basis of facts and the accused will be produced in the NDPS court,” a senior NCB official told NDTV.
The Bureau of Narcotics Control has been actively working on anti-drug cases since last year.
The Revenue Intelligence Department also seized about 1,000 kg of heroin at the Mundra port in Gujarat early last month and recovered about 37 kg of drugs, cocaine or suspicious substances from Delhi – Noida in Uttar Pradesh.
