SBI Clerk Exam 2021 postponed due to Kovid-19 – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The State Bank of India (SBI) on Monday postponed the Clerk Exam 2021 till further notice in view of the lockout imposed in various states due to the Kovid-19 epidemic.

The official notice posted on the website reads: “In view of the Kovid-19 pandemic, the preliminary examination to be held in June 2021 has been deferred until further notice.”

Earlier, SBI invited applications from eligible Indian citizens for appointment as Junior Associate (Customer Support and Sales) in the clerical cadre at the bank. Candidates applying for the vacancies of a particular state must be proficient (read, write, speak and understand) in the specified local language of the state / union territory / particular region.


SBI Clerk Exam 2021: Selection Procedure
The selection process will include an online examination (preliminary and main examination) and a specified selected vernacular test.

Phase 1: Preliminary Examination: Online Preliminary Examination which consists of objective test for 100 marks will be conducted online. The exam will be of 1 hour duration and will consist of 3 sections:

As stated above, each test will have a different time. Objective tests will carry negative marks for incorrect answers. For every wrong answer 1 / 4th of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted. There are no minimum qualifying marks prescribed for the individual examination or the total score. Section wise marks will not be scored.

PHASE II: Main Examination: The structure of online main examination will be as follows:
