No wonder there is a fog between the present and the near future, but the fog will eventually give way to the sun. And, the right combination of fog and sun can create a rainbow. With the onset of the Kovid-1 pandemic epidemic, teaching, learning, and assessment became online, which for many was initially inaccurate or vague. At the same time, scenes of work and the immediate future of life have become blurred. Therefore, the thirst for physical space is much like the sun after a long period of fog. Thirst eventually led to a beautiful thing – the blending of offline with online learning, as never before, and the invitation to the rainbow of blended learning (BL).
Such examples of proper mixing have been seen in the past; With computers and communications that are ‘invited’ IT, also the reason d’tre for BL. The beauty of the BL is its ability to exchange, evaluate, express, and test face-to-face and face-to-face learning skills, self-selected skills and multi-modal abilities anytime-anywhere. This allows for the expansion of learning with the addition of value added at a later time. Moreover, it creates space for flexible and dynamic routines to accommodate international time zones and educational diversity.
Businesses today are working tirelessly to break the deadlock in their enthusiasm for new solutions. Well, they also sprout new problems. And, problems or failures create seeds for education and research. In the words of Einstein and Edison, “Success is failure in progress ”and“ I find the way that will work” Arguably, from the perspective of digital natives, these national seeds create the right diversity in the ecosystem of education where they can improve in the BL space. They perceive new situations, new challenges, new skills and new choices as a measure of their progress. They want their education to be progressive and to adapt to their aspirations. -According to one-time world champion figure skater Nathan Wei Chen and Digital Native himself, “It’s crazy how fast time flies and how things move forward”. Crazy here would mean a mixture of extraordinary and obscure.

This has been made clear in a recent study on the future efficiency of the World Economic Forum The world is changing – and some jobs are changing faster than others. According to recent research, we will soon be just as good as our skills. In this case, BL will play an active role in transforming suited traditional education with appropriate technology, choice-based enhanced education; Space; And the pace of nurturing and sustaining a prosperous ecosystem for students.
They will learn to collaborate, co-create, engage and enjoy being their own unique best version.
Imagine that the building blocks of a BL system are coded in the future. Similar to the alphabet and number system that provides unlimited possibilities for students of all generations to express themselves; To be universally understood, and to be connected with like-minded people from all sides. Flip BL, for example, a student L likes to create a product P. Thus L wants to learn better by solving problems and gets a personalized P with a higher return on investment. In that pursuit, L practices BL choices of code and combination to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. Also, L is able to easily connect with a community of the right mentors, co-creators and consolidate resources to move forward with problem solving. Through it all L’s choice has been the result of learning the output and the classification level of a given bloom (L1-L6); And L’s decision. Now, LO may fail. L can try again and again. With each such value addition, P is eventually converted to Pn, a better version of P! “If the plan doesn’t work, change the plan but never the goal ”- Anonymous
BL-based outputs and outcomes need to be supported – with continuous evaluation and project transfer and problem solving evaluation – for students in groups and for individual competencies. To increase BL, educational institutions need to innovate their approach to create activity-based curiosity, relevant research, creative and critical thinking. Honestly, BL needs to feel the journey of active learning during all the steps! In this way the beautiful mind can see a rainbow in the educational journey.
“Despite the epidemic crisis, education in health management information systems was rich. We had 80 oddities in 4 groups, each with a specific theme to explore, organize, evaluate, report, improve and share. We have mainly used digital spaces in addition to limited on-site surveys, thanks to some of us hospital admissions. Our group mentors have given us benefits. Overall, we’ve learned a lot through engaging participation and no online fatigue. “ – Debarpita Ganguly and Danish Ahmed, Class Representative, MHA 2020-22, NSHM College of Management and Technology, Kolkata.
