REET 2021 fraud case: Rajasthan police arrest main accused – Times of India

Jaipur: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police has arrested two persons, including Batti Lal, the main accused from Kedarnath in Uttarakhand in a 2020 writ 2021 fraud case.

According to Rajasthan police, the arrested persons have been wanted for the last three days.

Last month, the Rajasthan government suspended one RAS and two RPS officers for allegedly engaging in fraud in RES 2021, along with 12 teachers, education department employees and three police personnel.

Significantly, for the first time in the history of Rajasthan, so many administrative and police officers and teachers have been suspended due to illegal and questionable activities in the state.

Earlier, police in Rajasthan arrested five people on charges of selling ‘slippers’ fitted with Bluetooth devices worth lakhs of rupees to candidates participating in selected exams of government school teachers.

A gang of five people, including a woman, has been arrested and Rajasthan police have arrested a fraud ring, who was working as a victim of fraud by a candidate present at an Ajmer center of the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination (RET) held in September. 26.

The incident came to light when Ganesh Ram Dhaka Dhaka (2), who had come to Ajmer Acharya Shri Dharam Sagar Digambar Jain Secondary School Center for REET, was found wearing Bluetooth-equipped slippers.

Police said officers deployed at the center found a wireless earphone in Dhaka’s ear. During interrogation, he confessed to having a mobile phone and a Bluetooth device hidden inside his footwear. Dhaka has admitted that he bought shoes from a Tuljaram Jat in Bikaner for Rs 2.50 lakh.

Bikaner police identified the gang members – Madanlal, Trilokchand, Omprakash, Gopal Krishna and Kiran. Merka Ajmer police have arrested, and Tuljaram Jat is a fugitive.

Prior to the highly competitive REET, the Rajasthan government suspended internet and mobile services in rural districts of Ajmer, Alwar, Dausa, Jhunjhunu and Jaipur from 2am to 5pm on September 2 to curb fraud.
