RBU alumni meet a nostalgic matter – Times of India

Mohali: Alumni of Rayat Bahra University spoke to their old classmates who are now working in different parts of the country and abroad as they participated in Rayat Bahra University’s e-Alumni Meet 2021 on Thursday.

E-Alumni Meet 2021 was organized to connect alumni with their friends in the epidemic and share their experiences through the Zoom app and live stream on YouTube.

Vice President Gurinder Singh Bahra, Registrar Prof. BS Satyal and Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. Nina Mehta were present on the occasion.

More than 1,100 alumni have registered for the e-alumni meet and more than 1,400 students have watched the event on YouTube. More than 55 alumni from school, university departments have shared their views on the Zoom app including alumni from various sectors such as MNCs, entrepreneurs, corporate houses, hospitals, well-known institutions and universities.

The meeting was formally inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor Dr. Parvinder Singh and was followed by the formal lighting of the Vice Chancellor Pradeep, Registrar Prof. BS Satyal, Dean Academic Affairs Professor Nina Mehta and the Head of the University School of Pharmaceutical Students Dr. Gurfteh Singh RB.

Alumni enthusiastically participate and share their opinions one by one. They were drawn from different sectors such as MNC, industry, academics, research, entrepreneurs and hospitals.

They all praised the HODs of the university, staff and their departments and recalled the important role they played in shaping their careers. Most of them become nostalgic while reviving their memories on campus and share it with their friends and old classmates.

Some of them shared their own success experiences and highlighted the hard work advice of senior faculty members that put them in a better position.

The video clips were shared at the end of those students who could not attend the meeting directly due to their jobs and time intervals as they settled abroad.

Professor Nina Mehta, Dean of Academic Affairs, offered a vote of thanks, saying it was a proud moment for the university to see students working in top companies like TCS, Bangalore, Pfizer, Arkansas State University, USA, Paraxel International Private Limited. Ltd. USA, Ava Biotechnology Pvt. Ltd. Noida, Alcom Laboratories, Buddy, Acuscript Medical Writing Pvt. Ltd. USA, My Chemist Pvt. Ltd. and Ltd.
