Rate of decline in Covid cases has slowed down, can’t take situation for granted: Govt | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The central government on Tuesday asked the public not to disappoint their watchdogs as the daily Kovid case continues to show a declining trend.
“We’re probably tired, but we don’t have the virus,” said Lav Agarwal, joint secretary at the health ministry.
Briefing the media about the situation in the country, Agarwal said the declining rate was a matter of concern for the government.
“On an average, the number of new cases per day between Maine 5-11 dropped from 38,099 on July 3 to 38,090 between July 21-27. Said.
“If we look at it from a global perspective, the epidemic is far away. The number of cases around the world has increased significantly. It remains a matter of concern. We need to work hard to link the spread of the virus,” Agarwal said.
After 132 days in India on Tuesday, less than 30,000 Kovid-19 cases were recorded.
VK Paul, a member of the Policy Commission on Vaccination, said the government estimated the vaccine dose at 150 million for August.
He reiterated the government’s advice to follow the Kovid protocol and asked people to reduce their travel.
