LUDHIANA: Samajwadi Morcha, a political front of farmers’ unions, on Wednesday evening released another list of 17 candidates for next month’s Punjab Assembly elections.
Prem Singh Bhangu said the United Social Front (SSM) has announced 57 candidates so far and the rest will be announced in the next two or three days.
According to the list of candidates, Harpreet Singh from Dharmakot, Meghraj Ralla from Jira, Krishan Chauhan from Budhlada, Gurditta Singh from Nihal Singh Wala, Navjyot Singh from Saini Derabasi, Satwant Singh from Lehragaga, Harbinder Singh from Rajpura and Adhya. Baba Bakala to Gurnam Kaur.

The United Social Front on Monday announced a pre-election alliance with a political party led by Gurnam Singh Chaduni for the February 20 Punjab Assembly elections.
Various Punjab peasant organizations participating in the movement against the now-repealed farm law at the Center had launched their Political Front Joint Social Front last month and announced to contest the Assembly elections.
Voting for 117 assembly seats in Punjab is scheduled for February 20 and counting will take place on March 10.
