Pune school principal among 51 recipients of ‘The Guru’ award – Times of India

Pune: 51 principals of various schools across Maharashtra have recently been honored with ‘The Guru 2021 Award’ for their relentless efforts in bringing innovation in the field of education.

Reshu Agarwal, founder of Brain World, organized ‘The Guru 2021 Awards’ in memory of late President APJ Abdul Kalam. The purpose of the award ceremony was to inspire educators who are in the field of education and are determined to bring about positive change in the school.

Sukhwinder Multani, Principal Suryadatta National School, Kiran Rao, Principal Suryadatta Junior College and Dr. Shila Oka, Director Suryadatta National School are the recipients of this prestigious award. The chief guests on the occasion were Prof. Dr. Chordia, Founder President, Suryadatta Group of Institutes, Pune and Mr. Lavel Prabhu, International Fashion Director.

This year, the event was held on 27th November at Banshi Ratna Hall of Suryadatta Group of Institutes.

CIS students spend a day in space park

A tour of Suresh Naik’s Space Park was organized for selected students of V-IX Cambridge International School in Akurdi.

Students gained experience and learned about the successful achievements and experience of PSLV satellite launch.

The students also enjoyed the Moonwalk, Astro Family Photoshoot and the ISRO Space Exhibition, which includes a set of posters related to the ISRO Satellite and their application, the Mars Mission; Scale down models of ISRO rockets, satellites, video documentaries on Mars missions. The students were given career guidance on how to join ISRO.

Highlights were the open air movie and the launch of Chandrayaan. A 3-D film was then shown on a screen in a dome-shaped room.

The main attraction of the park was a show, which gave information about all the astronauts and their space travel.

Highlights of the ISRO space exhibition included a virtual-reality section and an audiovisual section on ISRO satellites.
