Priyanka Chopra remembers SP Balasubrahmanyam: Your legacy will live on forever


Priyanka Chopra took to social media to remember legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam as he left for his heavenly abode on Friday (September 25). In her post, the actress said that the songs of the late singer are a huge part of her childhood memories. The singer was 74 and was admitted to hospital fro Covid-19. However, his last coronavirus report came out to be negative.

In her Instagram story, Priyanka Chopra shared a photo of SP Balasubrahmanyam and wrote, “RIP SP Balasubrahmanyam sir. Your songs are a huge part of my childhood memories. Your voice will always be herd and your legacy will live on forever. My deepest condolences to the family.”

SPB tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the first week of August. He got himself hospitalised after staying in home quarantine for a few days. His condition deteriorated on September 23 and he was deemed extremely critical.

On September 25, his son, SP Charan, addressed the media and said, “My dad breathed his last at 1:04 pm. Thank you everyone for your prayers. My dad will live long till his fans remember him.”

Many celebrities from the Indian film industry also paid tribute to the legendary singer.

SP Balasubrahmanyam was a multi-talented person. He had worked as a singer, actor, music director, dubbing artist and film producer in multiple languages. In his career spanning five decades, he had recorded over 40,000 songs in several languages.
