Jaipur: In view of the growing number of Kovid-19 cases in schools, the state government on Friday issued new guidelines on optional physical attendance in educational institutions. Schools have always been asked to provide online classes for students.

If students / teachers / staff are infected with covid infection or possible infection on school premises, the institution must close that particular class or class for 10 days. All educational institutions have been asked to close rallies, assemblies and other events.

After reviewing the prevalence of covid infection in urban / urban / rural areas, the District Collector will have the power to close schools / hostels or impose any other restrictions for a specified period.

The guidelines issued by Principal Home Secretary Abhay Kumar further said that “educational institutions will not put pressure on parents to send their children to classes offline if they do not want to”.

Students who want to take classes offline need the consent of their parents

However, students who wish to take classes offline (who wish to join the class) must obtain written permission from their parents / guardians. All academic and non-academic staff in schools, colleges and universities should have received both doses of the vaccine.

Also, school vehicles will be allowed to run according to their seating capacity. “The RT-PCR test is essential for students in hostels run by these institutions. Educational institutions must screen all academic and non-academic staff and students. They must be allowed entry after the screening process. No masks, no entries must be complied with. “If they do not have a mask, it must be made available to them by the organization. They must follow a distance of two yards to sit in the classroom,” it said. “Canteens on the premises of the institution will remain closed till further notice. Sanitation of chairs and tables, railings, floors, door handles, public surfaces and stationery is required daily. Doors and windows should be kept open for proper ventilation,” the guide added. Or if there are signs of covid among the staff, they should be rushed to the nearest hospital or covid center by an ambulance.

“Parents are advised to notify the school / local administration if students or their family members are ill,” it said. Also, students / staff should be randomly sampled by the health department at regular intervals.

A nodal officer should be appointed by the district magistrate to ensure that protocol is followed in these institutions – moreover, a joint enforcement team (JT) with the district administration, police officers and the SOP to ensure compliance with appropriate conduct Departments and civic bodies need to be formed to carry out special operations in different areas. An anti-Covid team should be formed, including the District Collector / Incident Commander and officers of various departments, to assist the JT in enforcing the appropriate conduct, vaccination and public awareness of Covid. Team members may be awarded a special badge and a cap, the order said.
