These students wrote the special B.Com second semester exam in December, but the university has not yet announced their results. This will prevent them from participating in the counseling process because they do not have a certificate of completion.
Ramya S, executive director of KEA, told TOI that students who have not yet received their results will be given their place.

Shraddha Sethi, studying at Purna Pragya College, Udupi, has completed her final semester and got a good ranking in PG CET. Although he is hoping for an official seat in the PG-CET rankings, he is in a quandary. He was worried about whether he would be able to attend counseling because the results of the second semester had not been announced and he could not present the completion of the course during counseling. Like him, many were traveling in the same boat and KEA provided their relief.
Shraddha wrote a letter to Higher Education Minister CN Ashwath Narayan about his dilemma asking him to resolve the issue faced by many students.
PL Dharma, registrar (assessment) at the University of Mangalore, noted that this was a special test conducted only for a few students, at their request, who missed the August test due to covid and transport problems. The test ended on 23 December. Assessors were on vacation until the end of December and they came to work on Saturday. Now we have to allocate assessment work and it will take two weeks to announce the results, ”he said, adding that all the universities are facing such problems. “PG-CET authorities will have to decide whether to suspend counseling to help students,” he added.
When contacted, Ramya S, executive director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, said it was the responsibility of the University of Mangalore to expedite the results. “ They may have a strict schedule of evaluation. They can keep more people, extend the time and announce the results within a week, ”he said.
In the interim, some students have been admitted to MBA courses with a management caution that seats will be retained if they pass the exam.
