Candidates have to pay the applicable examination fee online through OPSC portal using debit card / credit card / net banking facility and other financial instruments at Payment Page / Gateway of Odisha Government Treasury Portal.

Candidates should keep in mind that the fee paid once will not be refunded under any circumstances or adjusted or reserved for any other examination or appointment.


OPSC Recruitment 2021: Age Limit (As of August 1, 2021)

Candidates must not have been born before August 2, 1985 and not after August 1, 1998.

The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, SEBCs and women will be relaxed to five years. The maximum age limit for departmental candidates is not more than 39 years.

A candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in law from a government-recognized university or institution.

OPSC Recruitment 2021: Selection Process

Candidates for the cadre of Civil Judges will be selected through a competitive examination, which will consist of three parts – Preliminary Written Test, Main Written Test and Interview.

The preliminary written test should be a paper carrying 100 marks with a duration of one and a half hours including multiple choice subject questions. There will be negative marking.


The Commission will call eligible candidates for the main written test, who scored less than 35 per cent in the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates in the preliminary written test and 40 per cent in the case of others.

The main written test will be on the following two compulsory papers and three optional papers. Each of the compulsory subjects will have 150 marks with a duration of two and a half hours and each optional subject will have 150 marks with a duration of three hours.

A candidate must answer the paperwork in English unless otherwise instructed. The value of the paper will be LLB. In case of course and compulsory paper-I, it will be like a degree course


OPSC Recruitment 2021:

Interview must carry 100 numbers. The questions asked in the interview may not usually be outside the syllabus prescribed for the original written test. In the interview, questions can be asked covering road national and international issues and topics of general interest in industry and science.

OPSC Recruitment 2021: How to apply

Candidates need to apply online through the respective website of OPSC – http://opsc.gov.in. Applications received through any other mode will not be accepted and will be briefly rejected.

Upon successful submission of the online registration, the applicant will be assigned a unique “Permanent Public Service Account Number (PPSAN)”. Candidates should take a printout of the last submitted online registration / re-registration and finally submit the online application form and keep his signature at the bottom of the declaration for submission to OPSC and with copies of required certificates and documents when asked.


Candidates are advised to submit their application form online without waiting for the last date to avoid the last hour crowd.
