OPSC MO Recruitment 2021: Apply online for 1871 posts – Times of India

New Delhi: The Orissa Public Service Commission (OPSC) has issued a recruitment circular for the posts of Medical Officers (Assistant Surgeons) in Group-A (Junior Branch) of Orissa Medical and Health Services Cadre under the Department of Health and Family Welfare.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the performer application on the official website – https: //www.opsc.gov.in. Candidates should keep in mind that the link for registration / re-registration and payment of examination fee will be available online from November 12, 2021 to December 13, 2021.

OPSC MO Recruitment 2021: Age Limit

A candidate must be 21 years of age and not more than 32 years of age on January 1, 2021, i.e., he must have been born before January 2, 1989 and not after January 1, 2000. .

OPSC MO Recruitment 2021: Educational Qualifications

Must be entitled-

– MBBS or equivalent degree from a medical college or medical institution recognized by the Medical Council of India;

– A valid registration certificate under the Odisha Medical Registration Act 1961 and

– Necessary conversion certificate recognized by the Medical Council of India.

Note: Fee can be paid online through OPSC portal using debit card / credit card / net banking facility. Paid fees (s) will not be refunded under any circumstances or adjusted or reserved for any other examination or appointment.


OPSC MO Recruitment 2021: Selection Procedure

Candidates for the post of Medical Officer (Assistant Surgeon) will be selected on the basis of written test.

1) The written test will consist of a paper of 200 marks.

2) Each of the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) pattern will have 200 questions each.

3) The duration of the test will be three hours

4) There will be no negative marking for wrong answer.

5) The syllabus for MBBS course will be as per Medical Council of India (MCI) syllabus.

OPSC MO Recruitment 2021: How to apply


1) Candidates have to apply online through the respective website of OPSC http://opsc.gov.in

2) The online application form is automated and system driven and will guide the candidate smoothly in filling up the application form.

3) Candidates need to upload the latest passport size photo along with the scanned photo of his / her full signature and the scanned photo of the thumbprint of the left hand in the online application form.

4) Candidates should keep at least two recent passport size photographs which have been uploaded in the online application form for future use.
