On Sunday, the Rajasthan government will ensure free bus travel for REET candidates – Times of India

Jaipur: The Rajasthan government will provide free travel facilities to all candidates appearing for the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET) scheduled for Sunday. It warned that any government employee involved in leaking or copying papers would be fired.

More than 1 lakh candidates will take part in the exams, which will be held at about 1,000,000 centers in the state.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot chaired a high-level meeting on Thursday to formally prepare for the exams.

At the meeting, Gehlot said all candidates attending REET 2021 will be provided free travel.

He said that if any government official / employee is involved in incidents like leaking papers, giving dummy candidates exams and cheating in recruitment exams, then they should be dismissed from their jobs.

Also, if the involvement of a private school employee or a person associated with the school is found, the recognition of that school should be stopped permanently, Gehlot said.

The Chief Minister said the hard work of the candidates is washed away whenever any paper is leaked or copied in the competitive examination.

He said there should be no negligence in any of the testing centers and officials have been asked to install CCTV cameras in all such centers.

The Chief Minister sought the cooperation of the general public to help the candidates.

Transport Minister Pratap Singh Khacharibas said all road buses in the state would be available for free travel for candidates. Besides, public transport and other private buses are also being arranged. He said necessary guidelines have been issued to the transport officials in this regard.

State Minister for Education Govind Singh Dotasra said the department has made all preparations to conduct the examinations in a transparent manner.

He suggested that in order to prevent paper leaks and duplication, there should be a complete ban on carrying mobile phones inside the test center. Special attention should be paid to “gangs” and coaching centers involved in leaking and forging papers.

When entering the test center, he said, a new mask should be made available to prevent copying because some candidates hide the Bluetooth device in their mask.

Meanwhile, the Railways has agreed to run 11 special trains for the candidates, though more such trains have been requested during the day.
