Sachin Joshi, principal of Espalia Heritage School in Nasik, told ANI that the vision behind the school is to break the stereotype.

Talking about the unique train library, Joshi said that it was inspired by Tetsuko Kuroanagi’s memoir ‘Totto-chan, The Little Girl at the Window’.
“Totto-chan is a very nicely written book, where schools were on trains in Japan. We obviously could not implement the concept but based on that we created a very unique train library,” said the principal.
Highlighting the versatility of the curriculum, Joshi elaborates on the rules and types of teaching methods offered by the school.
“Our curriculum includes outdoor classrooms under the trees, among other things there are no uniforms for students. We have farms where children are engaged in agriculture.
