“This initiative will benefit a large number of schools for indigenous children across the country by providing a platform to wing children’s creativity, so that they can gift something new to the world with their ideas,” Munda said.
“Eklabya Model Residential School for Indigenous Children (EMRS) is another ambitious program under which 4,040 EMRSs will be established in tribal areas within the next three years,” he added.
Munda explained that this unique capacity-building program for teachers aims to integrate creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and communication skills in children and the whole program of integration into monolithic schools as a major step towards meaningful development of tribal children.
The program is designed by MOE and AICTE’s Innovation Cell for school teachers based on an innovative ambassador training program for faculty members of higher education institutions.
