Kurukshetra University Inaugurates IUMS Portal Admission Module – Times of India

Kurukshetra University (KU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Somnath Satyadev on Tuesday inaugurated the IUMS (Integrated University Management System) portal for undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD online admissions on the university campus.

“This is a big step towards making KU a fully digital university in line with the vision of Prime Minister Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal,” said Professor Som Nath.


From university admissions to student marksheets, staff and institute records, office work, hostel admissions, room allocation, PR services, all the necessary online services for students, all finance related services and all exam related services by 2022. It will be gradually fully digitalized by March, added Professor Som Nath.

The online portal will play an important role in reaching out to the students and will save time and paper as well as transparency and accountability of the work. “Our vision is to be a student-friendly university and complete digitization is a step in that direction,” said Professor Som Nath. From Tuesday the admission process in all departments of the university will start from the IUMS portal and students will be able to easily complete the entire process from their home.

Vice Chancellor Rusar Nodal Officer Professor Manjula Chowdhury, Registrar Sanjeev Sharma, Coordinator, Professor Pradeep Kumar, Professor Rajendra Nath of the Admission Cell in charge, Hukam Singh and Ankeshwar and Chief Warden Abhinandan informed the DS about the creation of this online system. Professor Manjula Chowdhury, Nodal Officer, Russia, said that work on this project has been going on since 201 projects. Done on a single platform. As these facilities are available online, the students admitted to the university will get all the information online from their admission till the end of their studies, said Professor Manjula.

Coordinator Dr Pradeep Kumar said the admissions of 171 courses from 49 departments of the university have been integrated into a single platform. Through this, the student can apply for different courses by registering once in the portal. Admission Cell Professor in charge Professor Rajendra Nath welcomed everyone and informed about the features of IUMS portal. Experts from the Admission Cell and the technical team of the Rusa Automation Center demonstrated the admission process in front of all the members of the committee.
