TURIN: Juventus lost 2-1 at home to Sassuolo in Serie A on Wednesday, with Maximiliano Allegri’s side winning the stoppage time.
The pace of the hosts was good in the first half and two minutes before the break Sassuolo fell behind in a great team goal, with David Fratsei finishing well when scoring.
In the second half Juan Cuadrado cleared the line with a strong effort and Federico Chiesao missed with a header.
In the 76th minute, McKenzie’s header was caught in the net to level the score, which was a relief for everyone at Juventus Stadium.
Juve throws everything at Sassuolo to find a winner, but they are caught at the break in the 95th minute, as Lopez runs ahead before making a great finish in the net to ensure a win for his team.
Juve dropped to seventh place with 15 points as a result of the surprise defeat. They trailed top-ranked AC Milan by 13 points after 10 games. Sassuolo climbed to ninth place, one point behind Juve.
