Top order flop shows in Chennai: The combination of pace and spin broke CSK’s top order. When Enrique Nortje returned the form to Ruturaj Gaikwad (13), spinners Akshar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin combined to deliver Faf du Plessis (10), Maine Ali (5) and Robin Uthappa (19) to give MS Dhoni’s men a break. 62/4 in the ninth over.
Veteran Rayudu and Dhoni decided the CSK ship:Ambati Rayudu then led the repair work and added 70 runs for the fifth wicket with skipper MS Dhoni. Avesh Khan, who says 2K is 1. In the run, wicketkeeper R Shav Pant caught the CSK captain and the pair broke up.

Rayudu’s half-century has given CSK a fairly respectable look: Rayudu remained unbeaten on 55 not out and CSK’s total runs exceeded 1,130 runs. In the end they scored 136/5, which was somewhat equal for the course.
Delhi Capitals innings
Dhawan held one end, the rest came and went to the other end:Shikhar Dhawan went down to one end for 39 off balls5, but kept losing partners, which did not allow him to free himself completely. Prithvi Shaw (1) added 2 with Dhawan but Deepak Chahar was out near Du Plessis. Shreyas Iyer (2) did not last long, after which the captain Is Shav Pant was dismissed for 15 runs.

Shardul’s double wicket over made the game interesting: Ripple Patel (1) supported Dhawan for some time, but he also joined the procession to return to the DC batsmen’s hut.
