Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians, after a smooth win against Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday, have topped the IPL 2020 points table yet again as they overhauled Delhi Capitals with a higher NRR. Kolkata Knight Riders made the news on Friday, October 16, with the huge news of a change in captaincy as Dinesh Karthik relinquished his leadership role and transferred it to World Cup-winning England captain Eoin Morgan.

However, as Virender Sehwag pointed out, Kolkata can’t do much about Mumbai Indians since it’s evident how the way the stars are aligned. KKR, who faced a crushing defeat by 8 wickets and 19 balls remaining, have lost both IPL 2020 fixtures against Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians.

“A cheetah’s speed, a falcon’s gaze, and Rohit’s captaincy are the three things you should never doubt. They can withstand any test. Remember, this is Viru Rao’s true declaration,” Virender Sehwag ‘declared’ on his newest episode of ‘Viru Ki Baithak’.

“Change the captain, batsmen, bowlers, fielders …or you apparels.you cannot change your destiny. And in the last few years whenever KKR have faced MI, KKR couldn’t change what’s written in the stars. Doesn’t matter who the sad captain is- Dinesh Karthik or Eoin Morgan,” Sehwag added.

In 27 head to head IPL matches, Kolkata Knight Riders have only managed 6 wins against Mumbai Indians. Quinton de Kock scored a match-winning 44-ball 78 to see Mumbai to a gigantic victory over KKR in Abu Dhabi. Legspinner Rahul Chahar produced 2/18 in Mumbai’s big win and journey to the top spot.

Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians have their next math scheduled against Kings XI Punjab, who have taken the last spot, on October 18 in Dubai.
