According to the IIT-BHU spokesperson, the grant will establish a software innovation center that will provide a platform where students will be able to learn and innovate in the areas of software development, quantum computing, cyber security, IoT and data analysis.
In collaboration with IIT-BHU, Deep Jariwala will help identify a faculty member to oversee and manage the Software Innovation Center to fulfill the role of ‘J Chowdhury Professor of Software Innovation’. In addition to a professor and innovation center, Chowdhury’s grant will fund a series of lectures on software innovation and a software technology seed fund. Both these initiatives are being managed by Bish Narayanan on behalf of IIT-BHU Foundation.
