The NTA will check the entrance
Professor Kumar said the National Testing Agency (NTA) would conduct entrance tests for admission in IIMCs. The admission will be a computer based test (CBT) at various test centers in 25 cities of the country. All the details regarding this entrance test are available in the IIMC Admission Prospectus and Instruction Magazine which can be accessed on the IIMC official website www.iimc.gov.in
The entrance test will be held on August 29
This year, two separate entrance exams will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2021, in two separate sessions on the same day. An examination will be held from 10 am to 12.00 pm for four (04) courses excluding regional language journalism, such as PG Diploma in Hindi Journalism, PG Diploma in English Journalism, PG Diploma in Public Relations and Advertising and PG Diploma in Radio and Television. , Malayalam and Urdu) Another test will be on the same date from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. Each test will have a time limit of two hours (120 minutes) with 100 questions in the field of media and communication including 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) in general knowledge and general aptitude. Students apply for multiple courses
Candidates can apply for multiple courses and for both exams. However, they must pay the fee according to the serial of their choice, their online application form and indicate for each course, said Professor Kumar.
Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any department from a recognized university can apply for admission in IIMC. Students who have taken part in the final year / semester examination of their bachelor’s degree can also apply. If selected, their admission will be subject to the production of at least a temporary certificate / certificate from their college / university by 30th September 2021 (reasons are expandable in certain cases) after completion of the course, Diploma only after the original degree certificate has been prepared for verification at IIMC office. General category candidates should be born on August 1, 1996 (maximum 25 years August 1, 2021). For SC / ST / Individually able candidates the date of birth should be 1.8.1991 or above (maximum 30 years till August 1, 2021). For the OBC department, the date of birth should be 1.8.1993 or later (1st August 2021, 28 years).
Procedure for payment of application fee
The application fee for each course in General Category is Rs.1000 / – and for each course in OBC / SC / ST / Separately Enabled / EWS category is Rs.750 / -. Depending on which course you are applying for, a large amount of application fee has to be paid through the payment gateway.
The results of the entrance test will be published on the IIMC website on September 10. This year the session will start from the last week of September.
