IIM-Vizag joins CFA Institute University Affiliation Program – Times of India

Visakhapatnam: The Indian Institute of Management-Visakhapatnam has become the latest business school to join the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program. IIM-V’s PGP (MBA) program includes at least one percent of the CFA program’s Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and emphasizes the CFA Institute’s Code of Ethics and the standard of professional conduct within the program.

IIM-Vizag is now one of the top 1 institutions in the country (including eight IIMs) whose MBA program is affiliated with the CFA Institute’s University Affiliation Program.

According to IIM-V officials, entry into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program indicates to potential students, employers, and the marketplace that the IIM-V curriculum is closely linked to professional practice and is well-prepared to prepare students for the CFA exam. . By participating in this program, IIMV qualifies for a limited number of CFA program student scholarships each year.

Director, IIM-Visakhapatnam, Prof. M Chandrasekhar expressed his confidence that the students of IIM Visakhapatnam will gain new skills and competencies from this relationship in both policy and practice. Professor Chandrasekhar said, “I believe the affiliate program prepares professionals rich in ethics and honesty in their financial analysis, portfolio management, investment advice, investment management and the like.”
