The theft took place at the official residence of Trilochan Gaur in the Civil Line area of Debas, a 2.5-hour drive from the state capital Bhopal.

The incident is being seen as a challenge to the police as the officer’s house is located between the bungalow of a lawmaker and Dewas Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Pradeep Soni and just 100 meters from the residence of the police superintendent.
Trilochan Gaur, who is currently the SDM of Khategaon tehsil in Debas, has not been at his house for the last 15-20 days. He reported the incident after his belongings were scattered around the house and some cash and silver jewelery were lost.
Inspector Umrao Singh said, “Rs 30,000 in cash and some jewelery have been stolen from the government residence in Trilochan Gaur, who is currently the SDM of Khategaon. The exact time of the incident is not yet known.”
The case is under investigation.
