Of those applications, 9.10 lakh were accepted, including 6.65 lakh male candidates and 2.45 lakh female candidates, according to figures available just hours before the application deadline on Tuesday.

The number of final applications could go up to around nine lakh as several candidates submitted fake applications, he said.

The recruitment process was disrupted last year due to a leaked exam question paper.

Last year, 8.75 lakh candidates had to appear for the written test for 9,700 posts when the test was canceled a few hours before the start of the test due to leaked papers.

Patel said that fees would be collected from the applicants till November 12 and after analyzing the data of the applicants, a call letter for physical examination of the candidates would be issued on November 20, which would start and continue in the first week of December. Two months.

He said that the written test of the selected candidates will be taken in the first week of March next year.

“Candidates should prepare with this deadline in mind and should not expect the process to be delayed,” he said.
