CDS Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat and Wing Commander Prithvi Singh Chauhan were among the 13 people killed in the December 8 helicopter crash. A speedy recovery was also sought for the only survivor of the accident, Group Captain Varun Singh, a resident of Deoria. Last year, CDS Rawat was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the MPSP Foundation Week celebrations.
