Girls lag behind boys in Prayagraj region – Twelfth CBSE Board – Times of India

Prayagraj: In the year that saw the second wave of Kovid-1p epidemic, the Central Board of Secondary Education decided to promote 12th class students, girls again surpassing boys in five major districts of the state whose data was shared by CBSE regional office in Prayagraj on Friday. The CBSE’s Prayagraj region has more than 50 districts in the state and in all the districts, girls outnumber boys. Among the five big districts, Prayagraj and Kanpur – both got an overall pass score of 99.22 per cent, followed by Varanasi at 999.02 per cent.

According to CBSE Prayagraj Region results, a total of 137667 students from 1219 schools were registered in Class XII this year and got marks as per CBSE rules. CBSE Regional Officer (More) Shweta Aurora said, “The overall pass rate in the region is 98.59 per cent, girls pass rate is 99.17 per cent and boys pass rate is 96.24 per cent”, CBSE Regional Officer (more) Shweta Arora said.

Explaining the results of five districts of the state under Prayagraj region, he further said that there were 4 schools registered in Prayagraj district and a total of 10060 students got marks. The pass rate of the district was 99.22 percent. The pass rate among girls was 99.42 percent and for boys it was 99.10 percent.

Similarly, considering the district of Lucknow, 14 schools were registered here and a total of 1115154 students got marks. A total of 98.69 per cent students have passed in the district and here too the percentage of girls passing was higher than that of boys. 99.606 per cent boys have passed the examination, 98.36 per cent boys.

100 schools have been registered in Varanasi district and a total of 16636333 students have been awarded for class XII. Of these, 99.02 per cent passed in the district and the pass rate among girls was 99.35 per cent and among boys it was 98.62 per cent.

In Kanpur district, 92 schools have been registered and a total of 10620 students have been given marks. The total pass rate was 99.22 percent. The pass rate among girls was 99.67 percent and among boys it was 99.92 percent.

In Gorakhpur district 786 schools have been registered and a total of 1137379 students got marks. The total pass rate was 98.32 percent. The pass rate among girls is 99.03 percent and among boys it is 979.91 percent.
