New Delhi: The IT interface of the Kinetic Energy Master Plan will capture all the details of existing and upcoming projects and also highlight the gaps of last mile or missing connections, sources said.
A detailed presentation on IT interface and data-capturing was made to private sector officials and representatives on Wednesday after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the project, officials said. TOI has learned that the implementation of the project will be monitored at three levels, including the level of a top panel headed by the Cabinet Secretary.
“One of the key focus areas is to monitor progress and solve problems because there is a strict timeline for implementing the plan. Currently, the biggest challenge is to bridge the gap and complete the missing connection between the various infrastructure projects. The data and details provided by all the agencies in the system will be important. There is also a focus on bringing the states on board, ”said an official.
Since the multi-modal connectivity plan will focus on the transition from “inconsistent planning” to “integrated planning” in the centrally sponsored infrastructure project, officials do not even rule out the right size plan for the government to meet the need. Although the government has not specified the size of the program financially, it will include a Rs 110 lakh crore national infrastructure pipeline, which the Prime Minister launched in 2019.
