The Chief Minister paid homage to the freedom fighters after hoisting the Teranga at the police line here on the 5th Independence Day. He also saluted the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the unity and integrity of the country, saying he was aware of the struggles of families in the armed forces as he was a child of a soldier himself.
Dhami said Uttarakhand is doing well in the growth index and there is no reason to believe that it will not be among the most developed states in the country in the coming years.
Announcing for Uttarakhand, he said, “Children are our future. We have started an allowance scheme to take care of children who lost their parents in the Kovid epidemic. They will get a monthly allowance of Rs 1,000 under the scheme. They are 21 years old. I have decided to give free tablets to the students in the class. ”
The Chief Minister said the state government has decided to form a high-level committee to address concerns over land laws, as well as award the Sundarlal Multiple Nature Conservation Award for outstanding work in the field of environment and nature conservation. .
Praising Bandana Kataria for her outstanding performance in women’s hockey at the Tokyo Olympics, Dhami said she has made the state proud.
“Encouraged by its success, we have decided to formulate a new sports policy to support and nurture emerging talents in sports.”
Dhami said the state government has made a recommendation to the Center to give the Padma award to eminent folk musician Narendra Singh Negi from the state.
He said he had tasked former MP Manohar Kant Dhyani to look into the Devasthanam board issue and submit his report to the state government, after which a deliberate decision would be taken on the matter.
Dhami spoke of the steps taken by the state government to provide corruption-free and transparent administration to the people, strengthened the public delivery system through greater accountability of officials and strengthened the rural economy through homestay policy.
He also highlighted the steps taken by the Central and State Governments to increase road and rail connectivity in Uttarakhand.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has led a successful war against Kovid-1. State hospitals, including PHC and CHC (Primary and Community Health Centers), have adequate oxygen cylinders, ventilators, beds and separate wards for children, he said.
Dhami also lauded the Modi government for its remarkable achievements in the last seven years.
“What was unimaginable until a few years ago has been achieved. Article 0 has been withdrawn in Jammu and Kashmir and the way has been paved for the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya under the decisive leadership of the Prime Minister.”
A number of programs were held across the state on the occasion of Independence Day.
The Chief Minister also hoisted the national flag at his official residence and took part in the flag hoisting ceremony at the BJP state office on Balbir Road.
He displayed the flag from the pavilion ground in the presence of BJP president Madan Kaushik, a “run for the country” project organized by the BJP Youth Front.
Governor Baby Rani Maurya hoisted the national flag at the palace. He expressed his gratitude to the freedom fighters and martyrs who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the independence of the country.
