Former PM Manmohan Singh Admitted To AIIMS With Fever And Weakness

Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh was admitted to hospital this evening on charges of fever and weakness.

He has been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in the national capital.

Hospital officials said his condition was stable, news agency PTI reported. AIIMS officials said, “The 29-year-old Congress leader was admitted to the AIIMS in Delhi for a fever assessment; his condition is stable.”


Earlier this year, the Congress-year-old Congressman and Rajya Sabha member was hospitalized after testing positive for Covid-1 for during the second wave of infection.

AICC liaison secretary Pranab Jha said Dr Singh was “under regular treatment” and his condition was stable. He blew up “baseless rumors” about his health.

Soon after the news of Dr. Singh’s hospitalization came, political leaders cut party lines and went to Twitter for his speedy recovery.

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channy tweeted, “Praying for the speedy recovery and well-being of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.”

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has expressed concern over Dr Singh’s admission to the hospital.


Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan greeted him.


Senior Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Dr Singh has sought a speedy recovery.

Congress national spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi tweeted, “Dr #ManmohanSingh is concerned about his recovery as he has been admitted to AIIMS due to emergency health condition. I pray for his speedy recovery and good health.”
