One of the key features of the fellowship is the অনু 20,000 (Rs. 15 lakh) financial grant which is given to the fellows as equity-free. The grant is the largest of its kind for students in India. Fellows can use grants to scale their startup ideas or even repay their student loans if they choose to pursue a full-time entrepreneurial career.

Through the fellowship, students gain access to a hands-on program, supported by domain experts and founders, validation of concepts, user research, products, engineering and marketing. Fellows will also be able to give peer-to-peer community the benefits of networking and brainstorming as they create their ideas.
After the 16-week program, Fellows will have the opportunity to raise pre-seed funds from Antler India and help raise the next round of funding.
“We’ve talked to hundreds of college students over the last year and realized the immense potential of student entrepreneurs that hasn’t been unlocked yet. Indian students want to start but do not follow their ideas due to lack of guidance and advice. They often need 1-1 more individual guides who fail to provide video courses or classroom instruction, ”says Nandini Bishwanath, Antler India Program Director.
“Capital constraints and peer and parental pressure to pursue a more stable path to placement and employment prevent students from pursuing their entrepreneurial interests. Accessibility is limited for students with an atypical founding background such as liberal arts or commerce.” It’s designed to be a platform for creating ideas and transforming them into a startup. ”
Fellowships are not limited to student founders who have a product with a prototype or traction of their ideas. Students who have a strong idea are also encouraged to apply. The Pan-India program is open to students of any university. Additionally, students who have postponed placements to actively work on Startup Ideas are encouraged to apply.
“We don’t just want to enable existing founders, we want to create new founders. In some western countries the percentage of student founders is much higher than in India. We want to change that. We believe that today’s students will be the ones to solve some of the difficult issues that affect us, such as climate change, human potential, energy efficiency and unlocking upcoming sites like Metavers, Blockchain and Web3, ”said Rajiv Srivatsa, partner, Antler India.
