Fearless, aggressive batting will be crucial in final against New Zealand, says Langer | Cricket News – Times of India

DUBAI: Australia coach Justin Langer believes aggressive and fearless batting will play a key role in the World Twenty20 final against New Zealand.
Australia and New Zealand will meet in the World Cup final on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
stuff.co.nz quoted Langer as saying, “I mean, that’s what you call fearless cricket and if we are going to win this tournament, we have to continue the way we played from Bangladesh.”
“So batting first or second that fearless or attacking batting will be important,” he added.
Matthew Wade and Marcus Stones put on an impressive innings against Pakistan to give Australia an unbeaten victory in the semi-final against Pakistan.
The Australian coach said: “It is very important that we have the mentality that we can win from any situation we bat or bowl before. That mentality will be important. You cannot deny the statistics but we need the mentality,” said the Australian coach.
He added, “There is a real peace in the group. They are really supporting themselves there. They are very well prepared. They have some real confidence now and the group has a really good feeling,” he added.
Australia and New Zealand have never won a T20 World Cup, and there are guaranteed new winners in the tournament at this time.
