Extends summer holidays in Haryana state schools to 15 days by 15 June – Times of India

Yamunanagar: The Haryana state government on Friday extended the summer holidays in state schools to 15 days for 15 June.

The Haryana School Education Directorate (DSE) on Friday issued an order ordering all state-related education and elementary education authorities to extend summer vacations to the level of districts and blocks.


The DSE order states, “To prevent the spread of the Kovid-19 epidemic, summer holidays were announced in all government and private schools in the state and on April 22, 2021 to May 31 for students and teachers Schools were closed. In this regard, after analyzing the current situation, the government has decided to extend the summer holidays to 15 days and to keep the schools closed for students till June 15. Prepared by the school principals According to the roster, 50 percent of the teachers will start coming to the schools. The guidelines issued by the Chief Secretary of Haryana on June 1 and April 30, 2021. School hours will be from 9 am to 12 noon.

“During this time, teachers will perform mandatory academic work and analyze report cards, exam result registers, admission related formalities and other administrative functions in schools and update it in the department’s MIS”, the DSE order further reads.

Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal said, ‘The situation is not favorable for opening schools at the moment. An order has been issued to extend summer vacation. The next decision will be taken 15 days later after analyzing the situation.
