“Please be careful when choosing the ECA and sports departments,” said Sanjeev Singh, director of the Delhi University Computer Center.
Officials also received questions from students about various boards recognized by the university.
“We recognize the University Grants Commission, the Board of School Education in India (COBSE) and all the boards recognized by the Ministry of Education. You can check whether your board is acceptable on the COBSE portal,” said Professor Anand Sonkar.
He added that the information bulletin contains grade conversions for IB and Cambridge University.
“In due course, an equivalent table will be uploaded on the website. The equivalent committee of the university will decide which subjects of other boards will be equivalent to any subject of CBSE and this will help the students in calculating the marks,” he added.
A senior faculty member added that an automated calculator on the portal would calculate the number of theories and applications in a 70-30 ratio if the boards did not give numbers in that ratio.
“For things like drawing, the theoretical and practical ratio would be 30:70. It would be calculated accordingly,” he added.
