DRS to make debut in upcoming men’s T20 World Cup | Cricket News – Times of India

New Delhi: The Decision Review System (DRS) will be unveiled at the Men’s T20 World Cup to be held in Oman and the UAE this month after the ICC approved its use in the tournament.
The ICC announced the introduction of DRS in the upcoming show-piece in playing conditions for the event earlier this week.
The Men’s T20 World Cup will be held from October 17 to November 14.
According to ESPNcricinfo, each team will receive a maximum of two reviews per innings.

Thus, the number of unsuccessful applications per innings for each team has become two in the white-ball format and three in Test matches.
DRS was not part of the previous Men’s T20 World Cup because the review system did not apply to the T20 in 2016 when the marquee event was last held.
DRS made its first appearance in the Caribbean Women’s T20 World Cup in the 2018 ICC T20 Tournament.
This method was used again in the 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
