Degree admission in Telangana from July 1; Class from September 1 – Times of India

HYDERABAD: Degree admission in Telangana will start from July 1 and classes for first year students will start from September 1, according to a notification issued by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCEE).

A day after the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) released its mid-year results, TSCEO Telangana (DOST) has issued a notification for degree online services. Last year degree admissions started only in August which delayed the academic year by about a month. This year, degree admissions are being held well within the schedule and online classes are about to start on time.

According to the schedule, registration for the first phase will be held from July 1 to July 15. Students can apply their web-options from 3 July to 16 July, after which the first seats will be allocated on 22 July.

“This year too, we hope to get more than four lakh degree seats offered through DOST. There will be three admission episodes. This year too, from August onwards, students appearing for the general entrance test are synchronized with the DOST for admission so that the students can secure the degree seats if they do not blow up the CET, ”said DOST convener R Limbadri.


According to the schedule, students will have to do orientation in their colleges from 23rd August to 31st August. Next, the first semester classification will begin on September 1st.

Additional services for students have been enhanced in the wake of Covid-19. “To avoid human touch, the real-time digital face recognition of the TPAP folio continues. This service is applicable only for students who have passed from Telangana Board of Secondary Education. An online complaint system for troubleshooting candidates, WhatsApp chatbot integration for DOST-2021 and social media pages, ”read the notice.
