congress: Punjab polls: Sisodia invites Cong minister Pargat Singh for debate on education model | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday invited Punjab Education Minister Pargat Singh to visit ten schools run by his government and then discuss which party is doing well on the education front – AAP or Congress.
Sisodia’s invitation came after a battle of words between the AAP leader and the Congress minister over which state was doing well in education.
“I would like to invite the Hon’ble Minister of Education of Punjab PargatSOfficial To jointly visit 10 Delhi government schools which we have renovated in last 5 years and 10 Punjab government schools which his government has renovated in 5 years. So let’s openly debate the Edu model in Delhi and Punjab, “Sisodia said in a tweet.

The AAP, which is one of the main rivals of the Congress in the forthcoming state elections, is claiming that its education model is a great success. Punjab Education Minister Pargat Singh has claimed that his government is doing a good job.

On Wednesday, Singh told Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal that a revolution was taking place in education in Punjab. “It’s another thing you missed it. It’s understandable for a Delhiite whose interest in Punjab is only aroused by elections,” he said.
Singh, in multiple tweets, has tried to show that Punjab under the Congress is doing better than Delhi under the AAP.
In the latest survey, Punjab topped the National Performance Grade Index (NPGI) in school education. Delhi came in 6th.

“Student-teacher ratio in Punjab government schools is 24.5: 1 as compared to 35: 1 in Delhi. 15% in Delhi. Adverse student-teacher ratio in government schools is less than 4% in Punjab. Please fill the schools in Delhi before you think. াব Punjab.” Says.
Kejriwal, meanwhile, said the Punjab education minister had claimed that the state’s schools were the best in the country. Those who are satisfied with the Punjab school should vote for Congress, others who want wonderful education like Delhi can vote for us, ”Kejriwal said on Thursday.

The tweet again elicited a response from Pargat Singh.
It is not my personal opinion that Punjab is better than Delhi because you are hinting but based on an official national survey, he said in a tweet addressed to the Chief Minister of Delhi.

The fact that Punjab has a fair and transparent online transfer policy is a fact that can be confirmed by thousands of happy teachers in Punjab, claims the former Indian Hickey captain.
