CISCE Results 2021: 99.95% Clear ICSE, UP – 99.7% ISC Times of India

LUCKNOW: 999.5% students enrolled in Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) council schools in UP have passed the Tenth (ICSE) and Twelfth (ISC) examinations in a year due to the deadly Covid-19 crisis. According to the results announced by CISCE, 99.99% students in ICSE and 99.7% students in ISC cleared the exams across the state. The pass rate for both ICSE and ISC increased by 1.4% and 3.9% respectively. Nationally, 99.96% students have passed ICSE, while 99.76% have left ISC.

This year, ICSE results were tabulated two parameters. The first was the average number of papers / subjects obtained by the examinees in various examinations / examinations taken by the school for 9th class and 11th class during the academic years 2011-20-2016 and 2020-21 respectively. The second parameter was the 2021 test internal evaluation mark (project and practical work).

For ISC, the compilation of symbols was done in three parameters. The first was the average number of papers / subjects obtained by the examinees in various examinations / examinations conducted by the school in class XI and XII during the academic years 2016-2017 and 2020-21 respectively. The other two parameters were the Class 10 average number (English and the top four subjects), and the practical test number for project work and / or testing in 2021.

A total of 4,899 students, including 20,222 girls, took part in the examination from UP in class X. Of these, 46,867 students succeeded and 22 failed. 31,601 students including 13,7699 students appeared for the exam in Class XII. A total of 31,7009 students have passed and 99 have passed. UP has 386 ICSE and 307 ISC schools.


At Genderwise, the results showed that girls outsourced boys to both 10th and 12th grades, with 99.96% boys being 99.99% more successful than 10th grade boys, 99.6% more girls than 99.6% boys being promoted. .

Statistics released by the board show that 99.9% SC, 100% ST and 99.96% OBC students cleared the exam at ICSE.

There were 3,002, 205 and 12,5557 students from SC, ST and OBC respectively who took the ICSE exam from UP. Similarly 99.7% students of SC and OBC departments in ISC and 99.2% students from ST have been declared successful. There were 1,957, 121 and 7,757 students from SC, ST and OBC who took the ISC exam from UP.


Chief Executive and Secretary, CISCE, Gary Arthun said that in exceptional circumstances this year, CISCE has not released the merit list of ICSE and ISC exams.

Arathun praised the school principals for working in close collaboration with the council to ensure a successful compilation of results. “When formulating the method of counting marks, the effort was to ensure as much accuracy as possible for all the candidates concerned,” Arathun said.
