Speaking on the occasion, Chitkara University Chancellor Dr Ashok K Chitkara said, “This recognition is due to the hard work of our students, staff and faculty. In addition, the university has a well-defined research promotion policy that has resulted in the development of state-of-the-art facilities. CURIN has multi-disciplinary advanced facilities supported by research funds of Rs. 37.24 crore from government agencies like DST, DRDO, etc. Seed money is paid for research scholars and faculty research and for patent submission.

The evaluation process is well defined to assess the level.
Founded in 1994, NAAC is an autonomous body of UGC that evaluates and recognizes Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The NAAC has identified a set of seven criteria to serve as the basis for its assessment approach: curricular aspects; Teaching-learning and evaluation; Research, innovation and expansion; Infrastructure and learning resources; Student support and progress; Governance, leadership and management; And institutional value and best practice.

By studying at a NAAC approved institution, students have the opportunity to learn in a sophisticated environment and earn a degree that will receive worldwide recognition. They get instant recognition of an alumnus of a reputable institute and get good placement opportunities because the industry prefers recruitment with high-class institutions. Through NAAC recognition the university can know its strengths, weaknesses and opportunities through a powerful review process. The higher NAAC grades of the university promote various inter-institutional interactions.
Vice Chancellor Dr Archana Mantri said, “The University practices Global Week for student / faculty exchange programs with foreign academic institutions. Various dynamic collaborations have been established through internationally funded research projects, international conferences and cultural immersions across campus. A significant number of global experts (250), students (25000) have been affected by this best practice.
Dr. KK Mishra, Director, Accreditation and Quality Assurance Cell, said, “Under the old scheme, prior to 2017, the entire assessment was based on a reconstruction inspection by the peer team and now under the current process, 70% of the assessment is based on data from institutions and universities. Is evaluated by the party which makes it more difficult and rigorous to be recognized.
