According to the countrywide results released by CBSE, Trivandrum tops the list with 16.99% overall, while Bangalore ranks second and third with 99.96% and Chennai 99.94% respectively.

There were a total of 21467 schools across the country and out of 2113767 regular registered candidates, CBSE has declared the results of 2097128 candidates. 2076997 candidates (99.04%) have passed 10th class. As in previous years, girls are once again lagging behind boys across the country in terms of Prayagraj region. Overall national pass rate for girls is .2.24%, for boys 98..8%.
According to the Prayagraj Regional Officer (RO), Shweta Aurora, the percentage of total passes in the region, which has 52 districts under it, is 99.19%.
Like the results of the 12th class board, the girls also lag behind the boys in the 10th class board exams. The overall pass rate among girls in this region was .3..3% and among boys it was 99.09%.
“A total of 197023 candidates from 71 schools in 52 districts of the state have passed 99.19% of the exams and excluding Gorakhpur, girls are lagging behind boys in five big districts, which comes under our purview,” he added.
Details of the results of five prominent districts of the state (Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi and Gorakhpur) coming under Prayagraj region, Lucknow got 99.64% and Gorakhpur (99.55%) and Prayagraj (99.52%) came second and third respectively.
He further said that in terms of Prayagraj district, there were 115 schools in the district, out of which results of 12379 students were declared and the total pass rate was 99.52%. The pass rate among girls is ..70%, among boys it is 99.0%.
Similarly, from the Lucknow district side, there were 201 schools which were registered and the results of 18747 students of class X were declared. A total of 99.64% students have passed in the district and here also the pass rate of girls is higher than that of boys. 99.78% girls have passed the exam as opposed to 99.58% boys.
In Varanasi district, 154 schools were registered and the results of 20113 students were declared. 99.30% of them have cleared the board. The pass rate among girls was 99.51% and among boys it was 99.17%.
In Kanpur district, 120 schools were registered and 12433 students were declared result boards. 99.32% of them were declared pass. The pass rate among girls was 99.53% and among boys it was 99.19%.
There were 120 schools in Gorakhpur district out of which 14730 (99.55%) students were declared pass. However, the overall pass rate of boys is higher than that of girls in this district. The pass rate was 6.6% among boys and 99.36% among girls.
