bjp: Mulayam tried to convince Aparna Yadav not to join BJP: Akhilesh Yadav | India News – Times of India

LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party father-in-law Mulayam Singh Yadav has tried his best to dissuade his daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav from joining the BJP, party chief Akhilesh Yadav said on Wednesday, mocking that he was expanding the socialist ideology of the “happy” SP.
Akhilesh Yadav further said that he would decide to contest the Assembly elections after consulting the people of Azamgarh who had sent him to the Lok Sabha.
“First of all, I would like to congratulate and wish you all the best. I am also happy that our socialist ideology is spreading. I hope that our ideology will reach there and work to save the constitution and democracy,” the SP president told reporters. Her first reaction was about Aparna Yadav joining the BJP.
“Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) tried hard to persuade him,” he said when asked if Mulayam Singh Yadav had blessed Aparna Yadav for joining the BJP.
Asked if Aparna had parted ways due to rejection of SP’s ticket, Akhilesh Yadav said, “Not all tickets have been distributed yet. Who gets the ticket depends on the region and the people as well as the party’s internal survey report.
Aparna Yadav was married to Pratik Yadav, son of Mulayam Singh Yadav’s second wife, while Akhilesh Yadav was the son of the first marriage.
He joined the BJP in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshab Prasad Maurya and the party’s state chief independent Dev Singh.
Expressing her appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Aparna Yadav further said that the interest of the country has always been a priority for her and appreciated several projects of the BJP government for cleanliness, empowerment of women and employment.
There was a lot of speculation about his joining the BJP, and at a time when the development highlights the rift in the SP’s ruling family, Akhilesh Yadav is working to build the party’s base in the run-up to the state assembly elections starting next month.
Maurya was also quick to attack Akhilesh Yadav over development, saying he had not succeeded in his family and had also “failed” as chief minister and MP.
Asked if he would contest the forthcoming assembly elections, SP president Akhilesh Yadav said, “If I contest, it will be with the permission of the people of Azamgarh who have elected me as an MP.”
“I will talk to the people of Azamgarh and contest from wherever the party tells me,” he repeatedly said in response to a question.
Talking about the recent defections from SPs and various parties, Akhilesh Yadav said, “SPs are associated with people who have wide support among the people.”
“Today, as needed and in the political situation, no one can compete with the Socialist Party. The people of UP want change and they stand with us, “he added.
Reacting to remarks by veteran BJP leader Laxmikant Vajpayee that his uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav, with whom he had recently repaired the fence, was contacting the BJP, Akhilesh said, “Two days ago, I told a press conference that we would not break any more. Those who want to join SP will not be included in the team.
“If some BJP leaders say that our leaders are contacting them, the same applies here,” he added.
“Hum aur wicket gira sakte hai (we can take some more wickets),” he said, adding that the BJP had threatened some of its leaders and removed them.
Referring to his studies at a military school and the Lucknow-Agra Expressway built during his government, Yadav said, “It was the SP government that designed the expressway and contracted the Indian Air Force for Mirage and Sukhoi fighters. It will land the aircraft.” He mentioned the Lucknow-Agra Expressway built during his tenure.
“It was the Eastern Expressway designed by the SP where the Prime Minister recently landed on an Air Force plane. It was the Socialist Party’s view that the expressways should be designed in such a way that they have a runway where warplanes can land,” he said. .
Yadav sneered at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said, “This (Eastern Expressway) was not designed by our father Yogi and the Prime Minister knew that he was a ‘Kam Chori Wale (lazy)’ Chief Minister and therefore forced him to walk as one. Punishment.”
Yadav was referring to a picture of Yogi Adityanath walking behind the Prime Minister’s convoy among security personnel during the inauguration of the Expressway.
The SP chief further announced that after coming to power, his government would implement an increased socialist pension scheme. 6,000 instead of Rs. 18,000 per annum which was given earlier.
He further said that there would be more schemes for “daughter, sister and mother” in the SP manifesto.
He termed the BJP’s campaign on social media as “the most insulting and full of lies” and said his party was constantly complaining to the Election Commission and the police but no action was being taken.
How the BJP and its leaders knew that this election would be digitally campaigned and had made all the preparations in advance, Yadav said, “the Election Commission should look into it.”
On this occasion, the Rashtriya Jana Sangharsh Party, led by Senior Supreme Court Advocate Vanu Pratap Singh, gave unconditional support to the SP in the forthcoming elections.
