Baiju to acquire Vedanta e-learning platform for $ 600- $ 700 million: Times of India

NEW DELHI: Leading online learning platform Baiju Live online learning platform Vedantu is in advanced talks to acquire around ০০ 00-7 million, with continued purchases continuing in 2021, a reliable source told IANS on Friday.

This will be the fourth major acquisition of the Baiju Rabindranath-led company this year.

According to sources, the Vedanta agreement is currently at an advanced stage and will be implemented soon after fulfilling the required regulatory approvals. Vedantu, however, told IANS that there was no such discussion with the Baiju and that we were not considering anything like that.

The growing development of Baiju’s online Indian adtech space has not yet been officially commented on.

Vedantu offers individual and group classes throughout the K-12 and exam preparation sections. More than 1.5 lakh students study live on the platform every month and over 40 million users access monthly content, tests, doubts and videos on YouTube monthly on the Vedanta platform.

Baiju, the world’s leading adtech company with 100 million registered students in its flagship learning app, bought Great Learning, headquartered in Singapore, late last month for ০০ 60,000 million.

The partnership marks Baiju’s entry into the professional and higher education sector with a 1 billion commitment.

Adtech company Baiju is currently the most valuable unicorn startup in India with a value of more than 17 17 billion.

Last month, Baiju acquired Epic, the world’s top digital reading platform for children 12 and under, for 500 million.

The acquisition of Akash Institute for about ১ 1 billion earlier this year was a major achievement.

In August last year, Baiju acquired Mumbai-based live online coding provider Whitehat Jr. in a চুক্ত 300 million (approximately Rs 2,246 crore) cash deal.

Live online learning platform Vedantu last month announced a strategic investment in Pedagogy, an AI-enabled learning startup that provides online courses and interactive digital books for students preparing for competitive exams.
